Privacy notice
A POPIA-light, honest account of data practices for a static-friendly education site.
Short version
CryptoDecentral does not run user accounts, custodial wallets, or Google Analytics. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.
What we may process
- Email you send us — if you write to bruce@cryptodecentral.co.za, we process the contents to reply. Do not send seed phrases or nsecs.
- Server / host logs — hosting providers (for example Vercel) may retain IP addresses and user-agent strings in standard access logs for security and reliability. Retention follows the host’s policies.
- Optional privacy-respecting analytics — if enabled later via Plausible or Umami env stubs, we intend aggregate pageview stats without advertising cookies. No Google Analytics on this project.
What we do not do
- Sell personal information.
- Build advertising profiles.
- Require accounts to read guides.
- Ask for KYC — we are not a CASP.
POPIA (South Africa) posture
Where POPIA applies, we process limited information for legitimate interests in operating an informational website and responding to correspondence. You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by emailing us. Because we do not run accounts, we typically hold little beyond what you emailed.
Outbound links
Third-party sites (wallets, relays, docs) have their own policies. Read them before you submit data there.
