Bitcoin & Lightning
On CryptoDecentral, Bitcoin and Lightning are receive-only tip rails — not a trading desk, not a custody product.
Receive-only framing
We may publish tip destinations for gratitude. That is not a payment gateway. We do not custody user funds, issue balances, or facilitate swaps between tip rails.
If you are looking for price charts, leverage, or “when to buy the dip,” you are in the wrong place. For self-custody habits, see Wallets. For social value signals, see Nostr zaps.
Why Lightning fits tips
- Low friction for small thank-yous across borders.
- Settles to a destination you control when you run or connect your own wallet — not an IOU inside CryptoDecentral.
- Pairs naturally with Nostr zaps without forcing us to become a processor.
Operational caveats
Lightning liquidity, channel management, and inbound capacity are real engineering topics. A Lightning Address is a UX convenience that still resolves to invoices from someone’s node or custodial bridge — understand which before you reuse patterns for high value.
Tip CryptoDecentral
Receive-only tips live on the multi-rail tip jar — Lightning, Monero, and optional on-chain BTC when published. No conversion between rails. Open /support.
